I am an ML engineer, software engineer and programming mentor. I got my Computer Science degree from Innopolis University, then proceeded to get a Master degree in Artificial Intelligence from The National University of Singapore. I have experience working with companies across different fields and technology stacks ranging from development of scalable APIs to distributed GIS infrastructure. My major interests include Machine Learning/Deep Learning, Natural Language Processing and Backend Software Development. The technologies I have used in the course of my work and study include Python, Java, Scala, Pytorch, Scikit Learn, Keras, Django etc. Here I sometimes talk about tech, my work and life in general. You’re welcome to my little world :)
I was resting after a busy work day some weeks ago when I came across a post about the paper KAN: Kolmogorov–Arnold Networks. The paper was not even published yet and there were already more than 8K stars on its github repository in less than a week. It seems to have taken the internet by storm and that is all anyone on Data Science LinkedIn seemed to be talking about. Could this really be the next big thing for Deep Learning and AI? Are the “Yet another big LLM with an even bigger context length” model...
